Sjonte answered 3 years ago. I have a 02 infiniti i35 and am having the same problem with the windows and sunroof.

It all happened after I got a check engine light test done as soon as he disconnected the device my windows and sunroof would not work. Was wondering exactly how you did the jump on the relay and when you say master switch do you mean the master window switch that controls the windows and door locks? Thanks in advance.

Was told the windows did not work I have power going to the switch on the doors no power going to the motor for sunroof investigating I found wires c Power mirrors not working on Nissan Maxima after after getting car back from a shop that had a very bad reputation.

The power window switch sends out a 5-volt reference to the limit switch. The other side of the limit switch is connected to ground. The limit switch is closed, pulling the 5-volt reference to ground when the limit switch is not being depressed.

The limit switch should not be depressed when the power window is open in any position except fully closed. When the power window is fully closed, the limit switch should be depressed. If you see movement, the regulator is usually at fault. If you have a cable operated regulator, replace the entire regulator.

Grab a wiring diagram and check for power and ground coming into the master switch. Since that door is used most often, those are the wires most likely to break due to the constant flexing. If you find an open or chaffing, repair the wire and you should be back in business. If the voltage does NOT toggle, then it can only be two things: Bad switch or broken wire. Wires break most often in the hinge area of the door. If you need to replace the window regulator, click here for instructions.
